Cruisin' for a Cure Canada

Cruisin' For A Cure Canada is a car show whose goal is to raise awareness about prostate cancer. Prostate cancer has become as serious a problem for men as breast cancer is for women. Yet our federal government provides little or no funding for research into the causes, diagnosis and treatment of this disease.

Cruisin' for a Cure Canada, 11th Annual

10 Sep 2017 - 8:00am to 4:00pm

Over the first ten years of our show, we have paid for nearly 2,700 tests. More than 350 of the men tested had high scores and were advised to seek further diagnosis!

Since test results are totally confidential, we cannot tell you how many of these men have been diagnosed with prostate cancer and treated. But every year at various awareness events, we are thanked by men whose prostate cancer was diagnosed and treated over the winter because of tests provided at Cruisin' for a Cure Canada.

All rods, customs, muscle & classic cars, trucks, motorcycles and snowmobiles are welcome as display vehicles.

Parking by affiliation is fine, but please plan to arrive as a group.

Parking charge per display or spectator vehicle $10.

Donations Greatly Appreciated; donations $20 and over made at the show will receive tax receipts.

Goodie bags for show car owners while supplies last. Raffles, food, beverages, vendors and health information will be available.

Free “Survivor” Tee shirts for Prostate Cancer survivors while supplies last.

Net proceeds go to Prostate Cancer Canada to help fund its education, awareness and support programs.

Over the first nine years of our show, we have paid for nearly 2,400 tests. More than 300 of the men tested had high scores and were advised to seek further diagnosis!

For the THIRD year, our official show doctor, Dr. Andrew Loblaw, a world-renowned oncologist and researcher based at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, will be conducting "office hours" at the show. Dr. Loblaw is obviously very knowledgeable about the disease, but he discusses it in real words. He will also be following up on all high test scores, recommending next steps to each family doctor involved.

All rods, customs, muscle & classic cars, trucks, motorcycles and snowmobiles are welcome as display vehicles.

Parking by affiliation is fine, but please plan to arrive as a group.

Parking charge per display or spectator vehicle T.B.A.

Cruisin' for a Cure Canada, 9th Annual

13 Sep 2015 - 10:00am to 4:00pm

The Car Show That Saves Men's Lives

Cruisin’ for a Cure Canada is a one-day car show devoted to Prostate Cancer awareness, operated by unpaid volunteers from the Prostate Cancer Canada Network – Brampton peer support group and their supporters.

Special thanks go out this year to our good friends at the Over 'N' Under Car Club, the Golden Horseshoe Mustang Association, the Prostate Extreme Team and the Ontario PT Cruisers for stepping up when our volunteer situation became critical.  Without the support of our fellow car fanatics, Cruisin' for a Cure Canada could not go on.

Gates open at 7:30 a.m. Register Online by midnight, September 11 or register at the show by NOON, to be eligible for People’s Choice awards. Show hours from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Free PSA blood tests are provided to men forty and over from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Important: In order to to be tested at our one-day PSA blood clinic, you should have a family doctor. Please ensure that you bring his or her information — properly spelled name, address and telephone number — to the testing area. If you absolutely  do not have a family doctor, we can accommodate you this year. Confidential results will be sent directly to your doctor.

Over the first eight years of our show, we have paid for 2,160 tests. 290 of the men tested had high scores and were advised to seek further diagnosis! Since test results are totally confidential, we cannot tell you how many of these men have been diagnosed with prostate cancer and treated. But up to September 1 of this year, we have been thanked by five men who were diagnosed and treated over the winter because of tests provided on September 14, 2014. Prior years have been similar, with thanks coming from both men and their partners.

Please note that THIS year, our official show doctor, Dr.
